Pharmacy
The Pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the hospital. In addition to pharmaceuticals, you’ll find many personal items and small gifts, magazines and chocolates. The Pharmacy operates between 8:00am and 4:30pm weekdays. The telephone extension for the Pharmacy is 1190.
Café SP
Café SP is located on the ground floor next to the hospital reception.

Medications
You are requested to bring all current medications with you. These will be locked in your bedside cabinet and made available for use during your stay with us. For your safety, please inform nursing staff about any medication you are currently taking including any herbal medications.
Valuables
We strongly recommend that you do not bring any valuables to hospital. The Sydney Private Hospital does not accept responsibility for patient’s valuables.
PREPARING TO LEAVE HOSPITAL
The expected discharge time is 10:00am. Please arrange your transport home by 10:00am.
Important information on discharge day
Before you leave hospital, please make sure you have the following:
- a discharge letter
- all personal belongings
- all current medications
- made any necessary follow-up appointments
- all personal x-rays
- completed the Customer Comment Card
On your way out, please see the receptionist at the Front Reception, ground floor, to finalise any accounts including Pharmacy.
Discharge planning services
The Sydney Private Hospital has a team of staff to help you with discharge. The Nursing Staff can assist your discharge, and if required further Rehabilitation.
Transport
Macquarie Hospital Transport
Our staff can arrange transport to and from referring facilities or for appointments for a fee. To arrange transport, please speak to one of our Nursing team to arrange.
Day Only Rehabilitation Transport
We can provide our Day Patients with transport getting to or from our Day Rehab Program. This transport is offered to our patients for a small fee within a certain radius. To enquire, please contact us on 9716 3700.
